Gero's father was Dietman I Margrave Of The Saxon Eastmark and his mother was Susanhildia Of Saxony. His paternal grandparents were Christian Margrave Of The Saxon Nordmark and Hidda; his maternal grandparents were Hermann Billung Duke Of Saxony and Hildegarde Of Westerbourg. He had two half-sisters named Matilda and Matilda. He died in 1015.1 General Notes
