RESEARCH NOTES:
about 721-733: King of Dalriada [Ref: Weis AR #170] ???-733 [Ref: Tapsell
p180]
King of Scots of Argyll, last to reign in Irish Dalrada [Ref: Moncreiffe p20]
became King of Dal Riata in 726, when his Cenel Loairn predecessor was
'ousted from the kingship'. He survived a Cenel Loairn attack on his
authority in 727, led by Selbach son of Ferchar Fota, and managed to hold
his position until his death in 733 [Ref: Davidson 1995]
following his death, the kingship was shared between his brother Alpin, and
Muiredach, the Cenel Loairn claimant, until Dal Riata was subjugated by
Oengus, king of the Picts, in 736 [Ref: Davidson 1995]
