Col. Claude Huffstetler
Columbia - Services for Colonel Claude E. Huffstetler, 79, will be held
at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at Reformation Lutheran Church, with
burial in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends
6-7 tonight at Caughman-Harman Funeral Homes, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel,
which is in charge. Memorials may be made to Reformation Lutheran Church.
Mr. Huffstetler died Saturday, January 15, 2000. Born in Chapin, he was
a son of the late Ollie K. and Eva Swygert Huffstetler. He was a member
of ReformationLutheran Church and the American Legion Post #6. He was an
Air Force veteran of World War II and was retired as a colonel with the
National Guard. He was also retired from civil service.
Surviving are his wife, Sallie Amick Huffstetler; son, Stanley E.
Huffstetler; daughter, Nancy Huffstetler, both of Columbia.
