Atlon Hosea was born in 1910 in Darlington County, S.C..1   Atlon Hosea's father was Hosea Crawford Gibson and his mother was Inne Maria Gandy.  His paternal grandparents were Nelson Kinsey Gibson and Elizabeth Sparrow. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Ernest Lincoln, Leland Crawford, Rex Washington, William Dowell, Sadie Elizabeth, Gerusha Annie, Penny, Rassie, Elma Rachel and Lena May.  He died at the age of 71 on July 1st, 1981.1
