Rachel Fountain 
Rachel was born on February 18th, 1775 in ANSON, NC.1 Rachel's father was William Fountain and her mother was Elizabeth Coleman. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Fountain and Isbell Tate; her maternal grandparents were Robert Coleman and Elender. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Alexander, Dempsey, William, John, John, Mary Ann, Catherine, Mary and Elizabeth. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 50 on January 18th, 1826 in DARLINGTON, Sc.2 General Notes

In the old Fountain Bible Records as seen by Pauline Morris a grand daughter of Florence Joanna Carter Mims(by her last marriage) there is a record of the death of Mrs. A.M. Cannon Sept. 16, 1874 and one Theodore Cannon Apr. 15, 1877 and Rachel Mason on Jan. 18, 1826..Rachel was the dau. of William and Eliz. Fountain. Some of her descendents are listed in this work.
