John A. Fountain 
John A. was born on December 15th, 1808 in South Carolina.1 John A.'s father was Alexander Fountain and his mother was Mary Howcott. His paternal grandparents were William Fountain and Elizabeth Coleman. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William E., James C., Alexander, George H., Jane E., Thomas E., Martha E. and Mary. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 46 on March 8th, 1855 in South Carolina.1 -
