His paternal grandparents were Rupert IV The Strong Count In Wormgau and Aelis Of Tours And Alsace; his maternal grandparents were Herbert I Count Of Vermandois and Beatrice De MORVOIS. He had a half-sister named Hildebrante. He died in Deurdan. He was buried in St. Denis.1 1 General Notes
