Hildouin III was born in 1000 in of Montdidier, Somme, France.1   Hildouin III's father was Hildouin II Ct of Montreuil and his mother was daughter de Dammartin.  His paternal grandparents were Helpuin Ct of Arcis-Sur-Aube and Hersinde Dame de Rameru. He had a brother named Manasses de Ramerupt.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 62 in 1062.1
