Alberic III's father was Bernard I Ct of la Marche & Perigord and his mother was Amelie (Aldearde) de Thouars. His paternal grandparents were Adalbert I Ct of la Marche & Perigord and Almode de Limoges; his maternal grandfather was Raoul I de Thouars Vct de Thouars. He had a sister named Almode. He had a half-brother named Hugh 'le Debonnaire' V. He died in 1088.1
