Raymond was born about 1113.1 Raymond's father was Raymond Berenger and his mother was Dulce di Gievaudun. His paternal grandparents were Raymond Berenger and Mathilde of Apulia; his maternal grandparents were Gerbert de Carlat and Gerberga. He had a sister named Berenguela. He was the older of the two children. He died on August 6th, 1162.1 General Notes
