Narrative
Educated at St. Mary Hall from 1612 to 1614 in Oxford and was a teacher between 1621 and 1632 in colyton, Devon, England. Immigrated 5/5/1635 to Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, at age 40, leading the large company including his wife, Agnes (age 25), 7 children, and 3 servants. The went to Weymouth, MA. In 1636, he was living in Hull, Plymouth, Massachusetts. Between 1639 and 1643 he lived in Barnstable and Yarmouth, Massachusetts. Before May 1643, he was in York, Maine. He returned to England and in 1652 was living in Launceston, Cornwall. Became a minister while in England. Ejected from the ministry in 1653 from the rectory of Buryan, Cornwall and returned to his children at Oyster River. Estate probated 6/14/1666, and his wife, Agnes, attested to the inventory.
