His paternal grandparents were Ralph Neville and Alice de Audley; his maternal grandparents were Henry de Percy and Idoine de Clifford. He had a brother and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Ralph of Westmoreland, Alice, Eleanor, Idoine, Maud, Elizabeth and ?. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named John, Elizabeth and Margaret.-
