William was born after 1146.  William's father was William d'Aubigny and his mother was Maud FitzRobert.  His paternal grandparents were William I d'Aubigny and Cecily de Belvoir; his maternal grandparents were Robert FitzRichard and Maud de St. Liz.  He was an only child.  He died on May 1st, 1236 in Offington.
