Josiah's father was John Womack and his mother was Lucy Pryor. His paternal grandfather was Richard Womack; his maternal grandparents were John Henry Pryor and Margaret Gaines. He had seven brothers named David, Green, Henry, Jacob Pryor, Jesse, John Pryor and Robert. He had two half-brothers named Hosea and John Pryor. He died in 1828 in Caswell Co., NC.-
