Allen Clay Whiteman 
Allen Clay was born on June 23rd, 1856 in Sigourney, Keokuk Co., Iowa. Allen Clay's father was Alpheus Edgar Whiteman and his mother was Eliza Ann Clubb. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Whiteman and Anna Marie Righter; his maternal grandparents were Phillip Clubb and Emily Randolph. He had three brothers and three sisters, named George Harrison, Lewis Harvey, Elbert Francisco, Caroline, Amanda and Clara. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 85 on May 19th, 1942 in Lincoln, Lancaster Co., Nebraska.-
