Sarah Austin was born in 1790.  Sarah Austin's father was John Tinsley and her mother was Sarah Chapman Austin.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Tinsley and Agnes Garland; her maternal grandfather was Thomas Austin. She had two sisters named Anna Austin and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 85 in 1875.
