David was born about 1795 in Louisa Co., VA. David's father was William Thomson and his mother was Frances Quarles. His paternal grandparents were William Thomson and Ann Rodes; his maternal grandparents were William Quarles and Mary Mills. He was an only child. He died in 1845 in Louisa Co., VA.
