Martha was born on December 27th, 1701 in Middlesex Co., VA. Martha's father was Henry Thacker and her mother was Elizabeth Payne. Her maternal grandparents were John Payne and Anne Walker. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Henry, Chicheley Curtis, Elizabeth, Frances, Lettice and Ann. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.-
