Alma Lucille was born on February 3rd, 1925 in Fredericks Hall, Louisa Co., Virginia. Alma Lucille's father was Wallace George Tate and her mother was Ora Lee Edwards. Her paternal grandparents were George Tate and Mary Thacker; her maternal grandparents were (unknown) and Hettie Gilbert Edwards. She had two brothers and a sister, named George Wesley, Edward Lewis and Sarah Ruth. She was the youngest of the four children.-
