Zephaniah Powhatan was born on January 11th, 1839 in Beaverdam, Hanover Co., VA. Zephaniah Powhatan's father was William Stanley and his mother was Juriah Rice. His paternal grandparents were Michael Stanley and Rebecca Stanley. He had two sisters named Rebecca and Rhonda. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 67 on February 2nd, 1906 in Richmond, VA.General Notes
