Anne's father was Ferdinando Stanley and her mother was Alice Spencer. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Stanley and Margaret Clifford; her maternal grandparents were John Spencer and Katherine Kytson. She had two sisters named Frances and Elizabeth.-
