Samuel Shelton 
Samuel was born in 1703 in "Rural Plains", New Kent (now Hanover) Co., Virginia. Samuel's father was William Shelton and his mother was Hannah Armistead. His maternal grandparents were Anthony Armistead and Hannah Ellyson. He was an only child. He died at the age of 89 on December 18th, 1792 in Albemarle Co., Virginia.-
