William Thomas Rainey 
William Thomas' father was James Rainey and his mother was Elizabeth Whitehead Rainey. His paternal grandparents were James Rainey and Nancy Samuels; his maternal grandparents were William Rainey and Lucy Atkinson Jackson. He had two brothers and three sisters, named James Homer, Malcolm McNeil, Anna Louisa, Ann Eliza and Bettie Hunter. He died on August 20th, 1849 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky of cholera.-
