Steptoe Pickett 
Steptoe was born on June 22nd, 1790 in "Paradise", Fauquier Co., VA. Steptoe's father was Martin Pickett and his mother was Anna Blackwell. His paternal grandparents were William Pickett and Elizabeth Cooke; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Blackwell and Lucy Steptoe. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Martin, George Blackwell, Lucy, Ann, Judith Steptoe, Mildred, Letitia and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 53 on December 16th, 1843 in Morgan, AL.-
