Elizabeth's father was Robert Peyton and her mother was Frances Hasildon. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Peyton and Elizabeth Clere; her maternal grandparents were Francis Hasildon and Elizabeth Calthorpe. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Christopher, Edward, John, Richard, William, Anne and Frances.
