Ruth Marks was born in 1916. Ruth Marks' father was Frank Louis Payne and her mother was Ella Marks. Her paternal grandparents were George Lafayette Payne and Emma Viola Martin; her maternal grandparents were John Warner Marks and Ella Clifton Watkins. She had a brother and a sister, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named James Robert, Alice Knight and (infant). She was the oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 80 on February 21st, 1996 in Kents Store, Fluvanna, VA. She was buried in Mt. Gilead Baptist, Fluvanna, VA.-
