Elizabeth C. was born in 1796. Elizabeth C.'s father was Joseph Cabell Megginson and her mother was Sarah Bolling. Her paternal grandparents were William Megginson and Elizabeth Cabell; her maternal grandparents were Archibald Bolling and Jane Randolph. She had six brothers and a sister, named William Cabell, Archibald Bolling, Joseph Cabell, Samuel B., John Randolph, Benjamin Cabell and Jane Randolph. She was the second oldest of the eight children.-
