Matthew was born on September 18th, 1686 in Castel Mauron, Agenois, Gascony, France.  Matthew's father was Abraham Maury and his mother was Marie Fourquereau.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 66 in 1752 in "Hickory Hill", King William Co., VA.
