Edward was born about 1710 in Lower Parish, Isle of Wight Co., VA. Edward's father was Robert Jones and his mother was Rebecca Braswell. His paternal grandparents were Rowland Jones and Elizabeth ?; his maternal grandparents were Robert Braswell and Susannah Burgess. He had a brother and two sisters, named James, Obedience and Sarah. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Richard, William, Robert, Rebecca and Mary. He died in 1750 in Granville Co., NC.-
