John Bickley Hurt 
John Bickley was born on June 25th, 1798 in Amelia Co., VA. John Bickley's father was Anderson Hurt and his mother was Winnifred Donnavant. His paternal grandparents were William Hurt and Caroline Anderson. He had two brothers and six sisters, named William C., Samuel A., Nancy I., Martha P., Emaline, Purity, Elizabeth W. and Caroline M.. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 70 on July 7th, 1868.-
