Charlotte Augusta Matilda was born on September 29th, 1766. Charlotte Augusta Matilda's father was George III William Frederick Hanover and her mother was Charolotte-Sophia von Mecklenburg. Her paternal grandparents were Frederick Louis Hanover and Augusta von Saxe-Gotha. She had nine brothers and five sisters, named George IV Augusta Frederick, Frederick Augustus, William IV Henry, Edward Augustus, Ernest Augustus I, Augustus Frederick, Adolphus Frederick, Octavius, Alfred, Augusta Sophia, Elizabeth, Mary, Sophia Matilda and Amelia. She was the fourth oldest of the fifteen children.-
