Thomas Walker's father was George Gilmer and his mother was Eliza Hudson. His paternal grandparents were George Gilmer and Lucy Walker; his maternal grandfather was Christopher Hudson. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Chirstopher, John Harmer, ? and ?. He died in Explosion of the steamship "Princeton".-
