Henry was born about 1105. Henry's father was Henry I of England and his mother was Nest verch Rhys. His paternal grandparents were William I of England and Matilda de Flanders; his maternal grandparents were Rhys ap Tudor Mawr and Gwladus verch Rhiwallon. He had a sister named Elizabeth. He had eleven half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named William IV, Richard, Robert, Reginald, William, Richard, Fulk, Maurice, William, David, Robert, Matilda of England, Gundred, Rohese, Sybil, Matilda, Juliane and Angharad. He died in 1157.-
