William A. Ellis 
William A. was born about 1837 in Goochland Co., VA. William A.'s father was John E. Ellis and his mother was Mary Ann Toler. His paternal grandparents were William Ellis and Agnes Elam; his maternal grandparents were Anderson Toler and Lucy Smith. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James L., John T., Luther Judson, Lucy F., Indianna E. and Alwilda R.. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died on May 5th, 1864 in Battle of the Wilderness, Spotsylvania Co., VA.-
