Samuel W. was born on January 13th, 1870 in Hanover Co., VA. Samuel W.'s father was William T. Edwards and his mother was Lucinda M. Hall. His maternal grandparents were Thompson Hall and Elizabeth Harris. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Charles Percival, William T., John P., Edgar M., Henry J., Thomas, Mary Elizabeth Ellen, Indianna Margaret, Paulina Ann Margaret and Hettie Gilbert. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 85 on March 10th, 1955.-
