Laura Peyton Duval 
Laura Peyton was born in September 1816 in Dumfries, Virginia. Laura Peyton's father was John Pope Duval and her mother was Ann Foushee Tebbs. Her paternal grandparents were William Duval and Ann Pope; her maternal grandparents were Willoughby Tebbs and Elizabeth Carr. She had four brothers and a sister, named William P., John Pope, Lucien Spence, Harvie Sheffield and Annie. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 96 in 1912 in Austin, Texas.-
