Ann Elizabeth was born about 1820. Ann Elizabeth's father was Claiborne Lawson Duval and her mother was Jane Elizabeth Russell. Her paternal grandparents were Claiborne Duval and Elizabeth Pope. She had six brothers and a sister, named Claiborne Matthews, John Claiborne, William C., John W., Eleazer, Hardy M. Cryer and Caroline Tabitha. She was the third oldest of the eight children.-
