Martha was born on July 14th, 1702 in Hanover Co., VA.  Martha's father was Robert Davis and her mother was Abadiah Lewis.  Her maternal grandparents were Hugh Lewis and Elizabeth ?. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Nathaniel, Robert, Isham, John, Mary, Rossana, Sara, Abadiah, Elizabeth and Frances.  She died at the age of 62 on February 18th, 1765 in Louisa Co., VA.
