Charles Hill was born on August 16th, 1919. Charles Hill's father was Charles Hill Carter and his mother was Emily Randolph Harrison. His paternal grandparents were Charles Carter and Frances Page Nelson; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Randolph Harrison and Gertrude Strachan. He had a brother and a sister, named Shirley Harrison and Gertrude Randolph. He was the oldest of the three children.-
