Robert was born in 1687 in "Longfield", Henrico Co., VA.  Robert's father was Robert Burton and his mother was Mary Nowell.  His maternal grandparents were John Nowell and Lydia Perkins. He had two brothers named Nowell and Hutchins.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died before October 18th, 1748 in Goochland Co., VA.
