Francis Taliaferro Brooke 
Francis Taliaferro was born on August 27th, 1763 in "Smithfield", 4 miles below Fredericksburg on the Rappahannock. Francis Taliaferro's father was Richard Brooke and his mother was Ann Hay Taliaferro. His maternal grandparents were Francis Taliaferro and Elizabeth Hay. He had two brothers and a sister, named Robert, Lawrence and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 87 on March 3rd, 1851 in "St. Julien", Spotsylvania Co., VA.-
