Alice Brodnax 
Alice's father was John Wilson Brodnax and her mother was Susan Mary Ruffin. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Henry Ruffin and Anne McNabb Kirkland. She had a brother and two sisters, named William E., Nancy Russell and Mary Alice.
