Mary was born about 1561. Mary's father was William Branch and her mother was Katherine Jennings. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Braunche and Elizabeth Beauforest; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Jennings and Alice Bright. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, Richard, Lionel, William, Ann, Eleanor, Barbara, Martha, Katherine and Elizabeth.-
