Herbert was born in Vermandois, Normandy, France.1 Herbert's father was Herbert II Count of Vermandois and his mother was Hildebrante Liegarde. His paternal grandparents were Herbert I of Vermandois and BERTHA BEATRICE GUERRI de MORVOIS; his maternal grandmother was Beatrice Carolingian. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Renaud, Robert, Ledgarde, Hugh, Eudes, Count Albert, Robert, Albert I, Adele Of, Ledgarde Duchess of, Hidegarde and Ledgarde. He died on December 28th in Tours, Puy-de-Dome, Auvergne, France.1 -
