Catherine Read was born in 1765 in Brunswick, Virginia, USA.1   Catherine Read's father was James Quarles and her mother was Catherine Read.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 36 on August 23rd, 1801 in Edgefield, Edgefield, South Carolina, USA.1
