*Robert Leete 
*Robert was born in 1525 in Cambridgeshire, England.1 *Robert's father was *John Leete and his mother was *Ellen Helen Burgoyne. His paternal grandparents were *Thomas Leete and Leete; his maternal grandparents were *Christopher Burgoyne and *Thomasine Freville. He had three brothers named Thomas, William and Robert. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 72 in 1597 in Cambridgeshire, England.1 General Notes
ROBERT LEETE
Robert Leete was probably born about 1525, for he was granted a degree of
Bachelor of Arts in 1544-5, and Master of Arts in 1548. He was a Fellow of
Saint John's College about 1545. He must have been about 48 years old at the
time of his marriage to Alice Grundy. Their first child was baptized a mere
2 1/2 months after their marriage. Apparently he resisted marriage as long
as possible!
