Jean was born in 1260 in Bergavenny, Norfolk, , England.1 Jean's father was Henry DeHastings and her mother was Joane De Cantalupe. Her paternal grandparents were Henry De Hastings and Ada De Huntington; her maternal grandparents were William De Cantilupe and Eva Braose. She had six brothers and six sisters, named Robert, *John, Richard, Edmund, Edward, Hugh, Hillaria, Audra, Johanna, Lora, Anne and Joan. She was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 11 in 1271 in Holtolke, Northamptonshire, , England.1 -
