John Gordon 
John was born in 1747 in Essex, Virginia, USA. John's father was Living Gordon and his mother was *Barbara Cullam. His paternal grandparents were *William Gordon and Living Dalyell; his maternal grandfather was *Hugh Cullam. He had five brothers and ten sisters, named James, Charles, Alexander, Thomas, William, Ruth Sarah, Mary, Catherine, Margaret, Nancy, Sarah, *Elizabeth, Mary, Elizabeth and Jenetta. He was the third youngest of the sixteen children. He died at the age of 35 on August 19th, 1782 in Nicholas, Kentucky, USA.
