Gerberga's father was Ricimer Rikimer The Suevi and her mother was Alypia De Rome. Her paternal grandparents were *Ermengaire Nascien Septimania and *Ostrogoths. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Gondebaut Of, Zambor, Agrippina Of, Caratene Agrippina and Godefil.
