Mabel was born in 1108 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.1 Mabel's father was Robert de Caen, 1st Earl of Gloucester and her mother was Mabel or Amicia FitzHamon, of Gloucester. Her paternal grandfather was Henry I Beauclerc of England; her maternal grandparents were *Robert Fitz Hamon of Gloucester and *Sybille De Montgomery. She had six brothers and a sister, named Philip, Roger, Hamon, Richard, Robert, William and Maud. She died about 1170.1 -
